Neferet had never been the most joyful person. Being stuck on a ship with 50 men was not the life she really wanted. The particular skills that she had were quite useful. Neferet could control the aspects of a storm, whether it be wind, lightning, thunder or rain. She could feed off it. So what if the ship sailed into a rock on "accident"? She had wanted off that ship and to be free, so she made it happen. A smile curled on her lips as the memory of watching the captain of the ship be swept away.
Now she was here in Mist Falls. "Well isn't this charming," said Neferet sarcastically. She spit to the side to get the taste of the word out of her mouth. She had to admit that watching so many men perish at something she did had awakened something in her.
She continued to walk through the town to get familiarized with the surrounding. All the while planning the wickedness and havoc she could unleash on this town.

Azura still couldn't quite place why this place was so strange. Maybe it was the very faint scent of humans despite seeing quite a few people walking around the town who obviously live here. Just what was this place, and who were all these people. She originally was only passing through, but maybe she should stay a while and figure this place out. after all only satisfaction brings the cat once curiosity has killed it, and her curiosity is insatiable.
Her biggest problem was there were so many different and unknown scents it was as overwhelming as it was exciting, making navigation a bit difficult in her distracted state. Before she knew it she'd accidentally brushed up against someone. "O-oh sorry about-" This woman smelled faintly of the sea, but the only large water source she'd seen around here was the waterfall nearby, "Are you new here two?" She cut herself off excited to see another traveler in this strange place. Maybe there was something magnetic about this place.

Neferet turned to look at the girl. "Just got here a bit ago." She looked the girl over. The creature before her was innocent looking. Blah. Despite the intrusion on her thoughts, Neferet was intrigued. She had crossed many races in her travels but this girl's mind was almost animalistic. She mental caught images of fluffy animals that graced the background of the girls thoughts. "I am Neferet."

Azura felt chills run down her spine as the woman talked. Maybe this was her instincts telling her this one was dangerous, but the man at the Tavern said she should extend the kindness that was shown to her to others. As much as her feet wanted to just bolt and hide, she remained and offered a painted smile, "Same here, I'm Azura. Are you just wondering through, or do you plan to stick around?" She needed to keep talking to keep calm since her self control hasn't always been the best. Whenever she's scared or angry her fox features start to show, so just in case she casually shifted herself so she was now standing beside her rather than in front as if she was going to join her for a walk and slipped her hands behind her own back. This way if her teeth or claws started to show they'd be less noticeable.

Neferet mused over the girl. She seemed nervous around the storm mage. 'I could have fun with this one' thought Neferet to herself. "I might stick around for awhile. This town has a certain...essence...about it." She took a step closer to the girl. "How would you like to walk around with me?" A crooked smile crossed her face as she invited the girl. Innocence was a interesting thing. "How long have you been here my dear?"

Azura's ears perked up a bit, " I was thinking the same thing!" She exclaimed suddenly. She knew she couldn't be the only one who thought that their was something different about this place. Every natural instinct in her told her to turn invisible and get the hell out of there, but this woman technically hadn't done anything wrong to her, so that would be rude. She simply nodded agreeing to join her and flashed a shy smile back at her. "I just got here yesterday, so I'm still brand new myself. I was just exploring the town a bit. I suppose we can do that together now!"

"Come my dear." Neferet said as she took the girl's hand suddenly and began to walk down the streets. "What is a girl as young as you doing out on her own like this. The world has many evils." Neferet looked around as she questioned the girl. Making mental notes of where things were located. Even though mischief and desire coursed through her veins, this town seemed to bring a sense of harmony to her anguish.

She was a bit shocked when her hand was grabbed, but she didn't resist it either. "Hm? Oh I'm not all that young. I'm full grown now!" She chimed. She was after all even though her species tended to live very very long lives, she was no longer a child. "You can't know what's out in the world, good or bad if you never see it...so here I am seeing the world." She explained. She felt no need to lie to the woman about her intentions, but she also didn't yet trust her to tell her the full story either. "What about you? Why are you here on your own?" She asked curiously. If the world was so dangerous why is she alone too?

"I was living on a ship. You see, I am a storm mage. I would assist my captain to get the vessel to where it needed to be. They used me for that and other things." She turned her head away as a tear formed. "So when I... i mean the ship sank I was the only survivor." She chose to leave the part out where she was the one that made the ship crash. "I know the evils. You are so innocent. So pure. So desirable."

To be honest Azura didn't like the tone of 'other things', but she didn't want to pry into something that might be uncomfortable for her. Not to mention her slight slip up made her think there was definitely more to that story, but ignorance was a bliss she'd like to stay in for just a bit longer. "A storm mage huh. So you can control the weather with magic? And I've bet you've been all sorts of places since you were on a ship! Do you have a favorite?" She hadn't even realized she reverted to her naturally inquisitive self. She wasn't trying to be insensitive, but sometimes things like that were lost on her in the heat of the moment. As she started describing her again it once again made her a bit uneasy. Mostly just the desirable part. "Um I suppose...what do you mean by desirable exactly?" She asked raising a brow at her.

"Yes dear, my magic is fed by the power of the storm. From the wind to the thunder and lightning, I can summon it all." Her barrage of questions helped Neferet tuck away the memory. Instead she thought of all the lands she had seen from the ship. "I have seen many lands but have never stepped foot on them. I was kept prisoner in fear that I would escaped." The mage gave Azura a questioning look. "You are a kitsune. Not many of you walk around with the human population. Not that there are many of them here. People like to collect things. You may have some years on you but have you really lived?"

She wanted to ask if she could do any other kinds of weather, but she felt the title storm mage kinda explained she wasn't going to make it sunny and rainbows. Her face instantly frowned when she heard that she'd been kept a prisoner, suddenly now she liked the whole 'other things' statement even less now. She supposed those were the kinds of people her mother had tried so hard to protect her from. People who would just use and abuse her not just hunt her. "I'm glad you escaped, however the means." She gave her an approving nod. The loss of life is tragic, but somehow the loss of life of jerks just seemed like karma. "I hope now you can go back to some of those places and finally get to experience them." She hummed. "Oh yah, mom always said it was unsafe. Though unlike most of my kind I had been born human not a fox. I didn't change until I accidentally ran into some humans who scared me. I honestly don't even remember what I used to look like anymore." Hearing the womans question she sighed, "No. Well I'm trying! That's why I left. I didn't want to live in that forest forever. Yah some people are probably bad, but I've come to learn that some can be incredibly kind too! I don't want to be safe and trapped, I want to be free, and live freely." She explained.

Neferet stopped and looked at Azura for a moment. She may look young but this girl had some wisdom. "Well, what is something you would like to do? Maybe I can help you achieve something on your list."

Azura smiled brightly at the woman beside her as she offered her help. Maybe she'd gotten the wrong idea about this woman, maybe there was no need to feel afraid. Her instincts were there to protect her, but that didn't guarantee they were always in the right. Plus no one so far in the town seemed to want to do anyone any real harm. She tapped her cheek in thought a moment, "Hmm well I've seen men drink the night away with their buddies, and though I've not seen women do the same it seems like it'd be fun to do at least once. I've just never had friends to try it with before." That was no ones fault but her own. She slipped in and out of towns so often it was difficult to call anyone a friend, but since she was probably going to be here a little while, maybe that'd change. "That and if you know anyplace with beautiful sea water around them, I'd like to swim in it one day."

"Drinking and swimming. You are speaking my language." Neferet mused. "Maybe I underestimated you. Say, are you even allowed to drink? Not that I care, just curious." Neferet gleamed at the girl. Neferet was starting to soften up a little being in the presence of Azura. She had this effect on the demented soul that was Neferet. She shined with hope. Maybe Neferet needed someone like her. Find a balance. Find a...friend.

Azura grinned hearing those words. Perhaps they both had the wrong first impression of each other, but she was glad at least that they were getting a better understanding as they spoke. "I don't see why not. I may look young but I'm 350 years old." She'd never really thought about he being allowed to drink or not. Her human appearance age seemed to be old enough for tavern owners to stop questioning it at least. Once she got taller than the bar she figured it was alright personally. "So where should we start!?" She chimed.

"Lead the way. I'm sure that we will find something along the way. We better hurry. Its gonna rain soon." Neferet hated to admit it but she was enjoying her company. So much had happened to her in the last few years that she forgot what happiness was. Neferet then did something she hadn't in a long time. She smiled. Not grinned, not smirked, no hidden intentions behind it. She smiled.

She tapped her chin for a moment in thought, " Well I guess we should start at the tavern! Then maybe from there someone will know any other cool places to go." She chimed excitedly. She couldn't believe it she was actually getting to hang out with a friend! She sniffed the air when she mentioned the rain, " Oh you're right, let's go!" She smiled and looped her arm with Neferet's before quickly making her way to the tavern.

Neferet gasp as Azura pulled her forward. "Tavern it is then." She laughed. She felt like the kid that she was never able to fully be. She took in the town with new hope in her eyes not seeing the happiness and wholesomeness that disgusted her before but the cheerfulness that made her heart feel full. "What kind of drink do you want. I am a fan of straight mead. It helps calm the storm."
Once they had reached the Tavern, well Azura reached the Tavern with Neferet still in tow, she finally managed to get her arm free. "For such a little girl you sure do have some strength behind you." Neferet being completely amused allowed little lightning bolts to flash across her eyes.

"Hmmm" She tapped her cheek lightly with her finger, "I think I'll take that too. I've always just gotten whatever the guy behind the bar offers first, I've never been picky when it comes to drinking." She shrugged. To be honest she didn't like the stench or taste with her heightened senses, but most things did the trick of getting her drunk or tipsy because she was such a light weight so she didn't need to tolerate it too long. She grinned giving the woman a thumbs up, " So what kind of drunk are you?" She asked curiously.
She couldn't help but giggle as Neferet freed herself finally with her comment, "I've got to keep people guessing you know?" She chimed with a wide grin. "And you haven't even gotten to see my speed yet." She chimed with a bit of extra pride. Azura was in complete awe seeing even the little things Neferet could do with her powers. "You are definitely the coolest friend I've ever had!"
